(November 22, 2006) Bestwicke Road - Box 3514

Time 0730.  Engines 435, 414, 427, 432.  Truck 427, Rescue 414, Ambulance 435, Medic 432, Battalion 407.
 
Crews stopped the fire from entering the attic and house. There was no interior garage door.  The ceiling was pulled for exposure protection only.  1st hose line swept the David exposure first, swept the David Gable from the exterior, then they went inside.  2nd Line was 2-1/2" and put the fire out from exterior.  Cause was balled up Christmas lights in the garage.  Click here to view photos of this incident.

 

(July 13, 2006) 6507 Nightwind Court - Box 2602

Time 2059. E426. 408, 410, and 422. TL408, T410, R426, M426, and BC404. 

E426 conducted the initial attack with TL408 taking the front of the structure.  E408 had the water.  E426 had the fire knocked down within a few minutes with R426 conducting the search.  TL408 laddered the front of the structure with T410 laddering the rear.  Coincidentally, T410 was at 408's quarters when the alarm came in.  This was mainly a room and contents with smoke damage throughout the top floor.  Units cleared by midnight.  Click here to view photos of this incident.

 

(June 2, 2006) 10800 Windcloud Court

Oakton - Units responded to a house fire on June 2, 2006, at 10800 Windcloud Court in Oakton. The first units to arrive on scene reported fire through the roof of a large two story single family home. Firefighters made an aggressive interior attack, but were forced to go defensive after the truss roof collapsed. The collapse cut off a Truck Company searching on the top floor and they were forced to exit over ground ladders.  The fire was brought under control in approximately sixty minutes. Damage is estimated at $1.2 million and the cause is under investigation.  Click here to view photos of this incident.
