Similar to the "Direct Attack in a Hallway" evolution, in that any
unvented space may be dangerous if not attacked properly.
Here, the ease of extinguishing a well-involved garage is
demonstrated utilizing a direct attack. Notice that in
this evolution a smooth bore nozzle discharging 185 gpm is used.
The same effect is can be achieved utilizing a fog nozzle of
similar flow set on a straight stream pattern. In this
evolution, the fire is knocked down with less than 15 gallons of
water. |
